Support Our Annual Impact Research
Help us measure the difference WONDERBAG makes to people across South Africa
Throughout July and early August 2026, our team of fieldworkers will be visiting homes across South Africa to conduct interviews and measure energy savings. This annual research is vital for quantifying the carbon emissions reduced by our heat-retention bags.
If you purchased a subsidised WONDERBAG at one of our distribution events between 2019 and 2024, you committed to supporting this essential research. Now we are now inviting you to fulfil that promise! Your involvement goes beyond data collection—it drives real-world impact.
Thank you for being part of the solution. By welcoming us into your home, you are helping to cook up a cleaner, more sustainable future for everyone.
Why does this matter?
- WONDERBAG isn’t just a slow cooker—it’s a Verra-certified climate solution.
- Our heat-retention technology reduces cooking energy use by up to 70%, significantly cutting household CO2 emissions.
- But data drives change. And so we need to collect important from our customers in their homes to understand how everyday cooks use their bags.
The findings from these home visits allow us to:
- Prove Environmental Impact: Gather concrete evidence of carbon emission reductions and household energy savings.
- Secure Future Funding: Use verified data to attract funds that enable us to distribute more carbon-saving bags to communities in need.
- Fuel Recipe for Change: Directly contribute to our project in South Africa, ensuring highly subsidised bags reach vulnerable households who need them most.
What to Expect:
- Our fieldworkers are here to help, not to hassle! During their visit, they will:
- Ask a few questions about your cooking habits and WONDERBAG usage.
- Conduct brief measurements to calculate the specific energy savings you’ve achieved in your home.
- Important Note on Contact: Our official WONDERBAG research team will be contacting participants via phone calls, voice mails, or WhatsApp messages
